Downtown Washington Street
A great place to shop and stop for coffee, gelato, hot dogs, lunch, dinner including “fine dining.   There’s a Bakery…three great coffee shops, The Kite Company, loaded with toys and anything that a kid could want… gift the kids in your life, Michigan Rag, headquarters for a unique manufacturer of printed clothing, great for the gift from “Grand Haven”.  Of course, there are the ladies unique boutiques, (you won’t find yourself coming and going), The best Paper & Card shops I have seen!  Don’t forget to visit Fortino’s and Stefano’s for fabulous Italian food, gelato and peanuts ..they are just fun and interesting.   It’s relaxing, friendly, unique and great service. We can really say from “Peanut s” to Puppy “Feather Boas” , it’s all right here.  Sidewalk sales in Grand Haven are August 20th and 21st.
Piano Factory  this is a  separate shopping area in Downtown with 5 or 6 interesting shops, from Hats, to Men’s & Women’ fashions, Gifts, Coffee Shop and Italian Restaurant.  
Washington East End…"Frank's" is our Superb Meat Market, we serve their awesome sausage for breakfast...they just opened a Diner with the fab meats, a varied interesting and delicious menu with some Polish dishes...very yummy.  Pfaff Pharmacy, a charming "old time" drugstore with a soda fountain and gifts.
Sternberg Mall…6 minutes from The Boyden …restaurants & shopping…TJ Maxx, Barnes and Noble, Target, Old Navy, Meijers, Pier One and Toys are Us located just across from the Mall.

EATING
We have a glorious selection of good restaurants in Grand Haven and Spring Lake…we all have our special favorites, be it Pizza, Fine Dining or light entertainment and a great drink.   The majority of restaurants and bistros are on Washington Street… makes for a great “walk around the town,  just sample here and there.

Rosy Mound Natural Dunes…Lakeshore Drive just past Rosy Mound School…Don’t Miss this!!!  Fabulous path and boardwalk…(400 steps…you can do it!)  Lake Michigan is your goal…pristine quiet beach Hoffmaster in Muskegon borders Lake Michigan Shoreline and covers wood and dunes.
Hoffma Park with boardwalks over bayous…beautiful in the winter, wooded and natural paths.
Duncan Woods…4 blocks from the “Boyden”   a glorious “in city” park with paved roads and hiking trails.
Pidgeon Creek…a country setting, groomed, lighted trails for cross country and snow shoeing., rentable equipment and warming shed.
